Gaga Does So You Think You Can Dance.

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

Take A look at our latest Gagawire here.

Three years after performing on the So You Think You Can Dance stage for the first time, Lady Gaga returned to the series as a guest judge last night. Dressed up in a colorful outfit, the singer seemed to enjoy the show as she picked her favorites among the remaining eight contestants.

“My hat is off to you, baby,” Gaga told Melanie Moore and took off her red sailor’s cap. “Listen, you are my favorite in this competition. I would hire you tomorrow to dance on my tour all around the world.”

The poignant moment came when Gaga broke down in tears following Marko Germar’s routine. “I’m just so proud of you,” she said. “There were so, so many things that I did wrong when I was younger and so many things that I wish I could take back, and I felt every moment of that through your dance tonight.”

But it was the final performance by Sasha and Melanie that impressed Gaga the most. She loved it so much she threw one of her 12-inch boots at the stage. “In the dance community, when you do a really good job, you throw your shoe at the stage.” she explained and added, “Everyone can pack up and go home, because that was the performance of the evening.”

SCF’s Starry Night

The Skin Cancer Foundation’s, A Night the Stars Shine On event was at the Central Park Zoo near 64 Street and Fifth Avenue, as seal lions performed and people rallied around one another to show their support and urged more to get the word out about melanoma or skin cancer prevention. Jerry Penecoli, Correspondent of the entertainment show Extra, shared his fears of being diagnosed with skin cancer, and his present satisfaction with being cancer free. He later shared with me his advice to others, “On your birthday, have your birthday suit checked “ by your doctor or dermatologist for melanoma. He also felt that some people turning a blind eye to prevention may be dealing with a sort of ticking time bomb. For many, skin cancer prevention is imperative but can also give peace of mind. Others who spoke that night in honor of parents or children who have died from the disease, were at times overcome with emotion and smiled through their tears as they described happier memories of loved ones who had passed on.

Groups such as Judith Leiber participated with reduce priced beautiful jewels for guests to purchase. Food specialties abounded like Chef AJ of the Ritz Carlton who did his own spin on cold tomato like shots blended especially for the event. Gift bags filled with goodies such as Clarin’s delightful sunscreen care milk spray with plant extracts, Clinique Body Cream with solar smart, and Garniers’ Moisture Rescue UV lotion, can keep you protected throughout the summer and looking fabulous. Just great accessories to add to your skins wardrobe. Added them to mine and feeling healthy and wise.
