If you love Oscar as much as we do, don’t get to his show 30 seconds before it starts. I was seated in Guam. Also, if we can figure out a way to get this friggin’ music off of this friggin site, we will, in honor of Oscar. Oscar brought out a lot of fur collars and a coyote vest that set the crowd ablaze. This is considered new terriain for Oscar. At 76, always a stunner. Unfortunately the media riser this season reflected that. I was like, on some guy’s shoulders. Anyway, Till we meet again Oscar. A rare inside look at Oscar De La Renta’s Training Camp

This photo shows Oscar De La Renta with Uber Etiquette Coach Liza Mirsa Grotts last August at his training camp in Lewsisburg, Pa, where Oscar trains for three weeks before he presents his collection in New York each season.

From a ODLR in-house memo Glamwire has obtained, a rare pre fashion-week look at Oscar’s Fall 2007 training schedule:

“The morning begins at 5 AM with an intimate prayer meeting with cheif seamtress. Closed Meeting. Camp staff presumably is sleeping. .5;30-1030 AM: “Sketch Sparring” with a variety of partners, most notably Bill Blass designer Michael Vobracht, a regular guest in Lewisburg. 10:30-11:30 AM: power tanning, Executive Staff Only. Camp Staff aerobics in rec room 11:30-12:30 AM/PM: fabric review and selection for the afternoon “Fabric Fiesta” 12:30-2:00 PM luncheon with Anne Slater. 2:00 -3:00 PM: ‘Rest Hour’ power tanning, Full Camp Staff invited. 3:00-6:00 PM; ‘Fabric Fiesta’ full camp staff, skim milk and low fat cookies, staff announcements by ‘Ruth’ plus rigorous power fabric cutting, stitching, fitting, on last 3 days of camp the all out sample sale for ‘lucky Lewisburg locals. 6:00-7:00 PM ‘ strategy super food protein shake ‘cocktail hour’ full staff. 6:30-9;00 PM runway laps, hair and make up work out, lighting and music reps. 9:30-midnight, dinner and dancing with the Peter Duchin Orchestra, full camp staff, formal attire please.. Midnight: Fruit snack, lights out.”
