Alexander McQueen, one of Britain’s most successful fashion designers, has been found dead after committing suicide at his home in London.
The 40-year-old was discovered at his property in Green Street, in London’s West End, shortly after 10am today. Paramedics were called but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said his death is not being treated as suspicious.
McQueen had been mourning the loss of his mother, who died on February 2, and had told his followers on Twitter that he had found it hard to come to terms with her death.
