I Can’t Get Over Family Guy

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

An Essay on the Cultural Significance of Family Guy.

There is no cultural significance of Family Guy. But it’s the funniest show out there. Well, okay, sure it pushes a certain kind of envelop, yes…when a dog develops a cocaine problem and a baby with a football-like head is clearly sophisticated…and by sophisticated here I mean gay…you ARE pushing things forward a bit, ┬áso sure…Family Guy is rolling along with some sort of cultural significance. The problem…they put it on like 4 hours in a row and you can REALLY find yourself wasting a lot of time, STEWEY. So…I’m proposing a 12 step Family Guy recovery fellowship….where we meet and talk about episodes but count the days from when we last stopped actually watching them…and then have dinner afterwards. More on this compelling essay to follow.
